Thankfully, I don’t need acne therapy. I’m just looking for products for my sister – her face is a pizza pie. Anyway, I would love to hear more recommendations from the author or the commenters.
As far as acne treatment products go, don’t believe everything you hear. A lot of them are ineffective for some people. You just have to evaluate your situation and your skin and see if you need certain products.
It’s not shocking at all that it doesn’t work for some. People forget that everybody’s skin is different and that you could also have skin that is very sensitive or allergic to some ingredients. This goes for acne scar treatments, as well.
Some of the best acne solutions are natural, but chemicals can work just as well. I like a mixture of both since then I know I am getting the best treatment.

Exactly. I think acne is mostly caused by an improper diet, but like everybody’s skin is different, so are their health problems. All I know is that those who need severe acne treatment have problems that are over the edge.
I’ve tried an acne scar treatment before and was seriously disappointed. It was some cream that I saw on TV, so now I’m a lot more skeptical. Hopefully next time I’ll do more research and find something that’ll work.
I agree with Tanya. Name brands don’t work for every user. And a few zits here and there don’t require you to go out and buy every acne product out there on the market.
Treating acne is easy with a little imagination. My friend and I love to have spa sessions at home and create our own batches of skin care products. The best part is you can use any effective ingredient that will cleanse and soothe your skin for good.
I have had acne for almost 15years now, and have spent a fortune over the years on so many different products,I have lost count. The only thing I have found that worked for me,was a tablet called roaccutane (check the spelling on that) – it was prescribed to me after having a dermatologist appointment. The treatment is harsh,and leaves your skin very dry and cracked around nose and lips as well as the normal parts of your body that usually get dry. I had 1 course for 9 months, and could do with a 2nd, as my face has recently started to get worse again – so I am at present using bio oil which has taken the purple and redness away from my scars, and is helping reduce the appearance of the scars- but I still have some left – I am considering laser treatment, but I am going to try out some of the treatments you suggest to see if any of them make a difference. Even if they don’t at least I am aware of these home remedies now, in case someone else I know needs advice.
